HOLLAR EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP TRUST
ELIGIBILITY: High school senior or graduate with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) who desires to continue their education on a higher level after graduation but does not have sufficient financial resources. Students may attend any accredited, public or private, two-year or four-year college, university, technical college or trade school. Applicants are NOT eligible if they are employed, descendant or family member of an employee of Truist or have a descendant of family member on the Selection Committee.
AMOUNT: $10,000 per year for 4 years ($40,000 total)
DUE DATE: April 28, 2022
A properly and neatly completed application is essential. Also, the selection committee tends to favor students who also submit a short essay to expand upon their credentials, extra curricular activities, work experience, and/or community service, as well as what they hope to study in college. Please make note of this “extra essay” as it is not specified in the instructions themselves. However, if you include a short, well written essay addressing the items above, you will have a better chance of winning!
